Nepal, political development of the state seems to be
standstill after the second people’s movement toppled down the royal regime and
established federal democratic nation. Meanwhile political parties competed for
constituency assembly in order to promulgate new constitution and safe landing
of peace process. They assured that within two years of time frame, the goals
will be achieved and new election will take place. Unfortunately, the people’s mandate
for two years has been stretched to four years. Three giant political parties
are playing power game ignoring other small parties together with people’s
mandate. It is certainly dishonesty of the regime in order to stretch the CA
term into consecutive four years. The diabolic intention of further extension
of CA has already been foiled by Supreme Court is really a praiseworthy step in
favor to the people. Thanks to Supreme Court!!!
Observing the overall situation of the country, Maoist’s party which was in earlier assumed to be the silver line in the cloudy sky of Nepalese polity has turned to be the worst blood sucking party. It is raising fund for the election by hook and crook such as receiving salary and perks of three thousand combatants who are virtually present at the camp although they are not. This is the worst example of Maoist Party and is an explicit proof that Maoist Party is corrupt party among other political parties. The leaders and cadres of Maoist party are still creating hoax and terror in the people creating virtual autocracy of Maoist’s regime.
There is still plenty of time to achieve the goal of concluding peace process and promulgation of new constitution. Political parties need to have enough courage to go to the people for a fresh mandate. The jumbo CA and jumbo ministerial council are not the solution and there is no meaning at all to stretch the term of CA. People have already experienced the quality of existing CA members who have already adulterated themselves by selling red passports and abusing state’s resources. The chain of market supply has gone under black marketers and blood sucking brokers. The price of everyday commodities is rampant as if there is no state to control over. It is necessary to respect the verdict of Supreme Court which is entirely reflection of people’s aspiration.
