1974 AD BAND IN COPENHAGEN

The weather of Copenhagen is getting colder and colder after the lovely summer has just left behind however, Nepalese students in Denmark and their respective organization NSNF (Nepalese Student’s Networking Forum) is hosting a musical night with 1974 AD, a very popular musical band from Nepal in order to warm up Nepalese here in Copenhagen during the festive mood of Dashain (the biggest festival of Nepal for Hindu people). The concert is being organized in order to feel a home atmosphere for Nepalese living in Denmark although they are thousands miles away from home. ‘The entry ticket is cheap because we expect more and more Nepalese and Danish guests participate in the concert’ the duo concert coordinators Dipendra Shrestha and Subhash Khadka claimed. The concert program is taking place on 13th of September here in Copenhagen, Denmark.


Quiz Contest Held in Finland

A quiz contest has been held here in Helsinki Finland among Nepalese Diaspora. An encouraging number of participant contested quiz program which was organized by NRNA Finland. Questions for quiz were mostly related with general knowledge of Nepali history, geography, politics and other contemporary topics. The aim of the program was to keep reminding Nepal among Nepalese despite they are abroad.

Copenhagen, Denmark

TEEZ OBSERVED 

‘TEEZ’, a popular traditional festival for Nepalese women is observed here in Copenhagen Denmark. NRNA Denmark here in Copenhagen organized TEEZ program which was coordinated by Mrs. Devi Gautam who is also a women representative of NRNA Denmark. Many women who are residing in Denmark participated in the festival and danced in Teez songs. Women who attended the program were in red and colourful saris with ornaments in order to preserve the Nepali tradition. Pic....


NRNA Finland Held Football Tournament

NRNA Finland has accomplished a football tournament among Nepali football teams here in Helsinki,  Finland. The program was organized on 3rd August and final tournament between Khukuri club and Gaule Football club was held on 13 August.  Altogether seven teams participated in which Khukuri team won the lucky draw and was selected to play straight to semi final round. FC Gaule team secured the championship as usual to last year. Babish Limbu and Ruby Pathak were announced as highest goal scorer and man of the match respectively.

Himalaya and Mount Everest Restaurants sponsored the prize for referees and players where as Nepali student Biznat Khanal sponsored the prize for the highest goal scorer. During the prize distribution program NRNA Finland President Arun Pokharel suggested that Nepali team should go with organized for international tournaments. See pic...


Finland Holding Quiz Contest

The Non-Resident Nepali Association, Finland announces a quiz competition for all its registered and non-registered NRNA members in Finland. The event’s theme is based on general knowledge about Nepal and Finland. NRNA Finland executive board encourages as many as possible, and expects that the event will be yet another event that will not only help Nepalese bring together, but also make more knowledgeable  about various aspects of both countries one related among Nepalese.  participants to participate for the contest


Two serial explosions hit Oslo

22 July 2011,

Two serial bombs went off today injuring eight people here in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. A severe explosion happened at the ministry of oil building whereas other rocked parliament building.  Nordic countries are comparatively peaceful however, the latest incident has brought worry among peaceful Scandinavians. Finland Observes Volley Ball Tournament

 Helsinki 19 July. 

NRNA Finland has recently organized a volley ball tournament on July 18 to 19.  The tournament was held among six teams on league system and knock out system. In the final event, team Rudrabati 'A' secured winner trophy for the year 2011. The trophies were distributed to the winner players by duo NRNA president Arun Pokharel and vice president Devi Dutta Sharma the tournament. Gopal Bhattarai was announced as the man of the tournament. During the award and certificate distribution ceremony, NRNA Finland President Arun Pokharel stated that NRNA Finland is still in the initial stage and has no strong financial position in order to organize various programs however it will make efforts to such programs in order to establish solidarity amng Nepalese.  Details..



NRNA Sweden Held AGM

Stockholm, 17 July 2011,

NRNA Sweden has accomplished its first AGM here in Stockholm, Sweden. NRNA ICC European vice coordinator Rabindra Man Shrestha, inaugurated the AGM by lighting the candle. AGM passed the NRNA Sweden constitution by a few amendments and passed the financial report unanimously. The AGM  elected Nabin Thapaliya unanimously as the president for year 2011-2013.
