Poverty, in Context to Global Environment: Challenge to the new generation
Young.K, (2001), highlights the idea that women have to be included in the mainstream development. As an explicit experience of all immidiate societies, all levels of policy making state mechanism, women have been deprived of sources for a long past due to the domination of patriarchal structure of the society, in consequence development seems to be a slow process.
Even in Eurocentric gender equality discussion, masculinity and femininity are considerably discussed in development practice. Proxy discriminations on women still persist, and many such examples often come through the media. The enlightenment of gender equality is theoretically uniform in the world but it is a linear process in the development practice. Considering to it, we cannot imagine the situation of women in the underdeveloped countries where women have been really victims of male domination. Therefore, poverty is causal force to requisite of development. Besides, other relative drawbacks in state politics, authoritative government, patriarchal social structure and domination and discrimination, there are also major role players contributing to both absolute and relative poverty. At the end, we have great examples of human induced environmental degradation that also contribute to add more poor people globally. Instead of natural cycling system, human have extremely exploited the resources that is depleting year after year. The world’s most burning issue of climate change is nothing than other but the human induced encroachment in natural resources. Himalayas are melting fast alongwith sea level rising, depleting rainforest and ozon layers are becoming thinner. There have been many investigations and research works done on what cause climate change but not solid solutions are laid so far. The world conference on climate change that is being held in Copenhagen Denmark will certainly find out equivocal solutions to tackle the persinting problem of climate change.
