| CORRUPTION PATH AND POLITICAL PSYCHE
Nepalese politicians have long been practicing self centered politics that only enhances their status especially in terms of wealth. Let’s check each and every so-called leader from all political parties if one has followed value added politics. Those, who were on the footpath before 1990s democracy movement, many of them became millionaire overnight. More surprisingly, our so-called proletariat leader enjoyed most luxurious life though they were gorilla warrior during people’s war. A recent report from Transparency International indicates a new characteristic of Nepali political leaders as representatives of institutional corruption. Clearly conceivable to the fact, the financial status of Nepali political leaders has to be an urgent issue of investigation. We need to create a wide level discourse on corruption psyche of Nepali political leaders. Let’s not blame only to the leaders alone, we are also equally responsible to create such system which does nothing than inspires our leaders to be corrupt. We still own that cultural heredity in which wealth is supposed to be the origin of power. It is true but not in politics. It is dishonesty to the normal people who voted for them. There is a number of majority people who run behind wealth and consider wealth is only the ultimate power. This type of trend is to be shunned up at least political level. The political decisions are at least should be transparent, explainable and rational.
